Abbey Manor to build Plymouth business park
Estates Gazette – 21 March 2001
Abbey Manor subsidiary Cattedown Regeneration is to build a 80,000 sq.ft business park on reclaimed land in the Cattedown area of Plymouth.
The scheme - known as Neptune Park Office Campus - will comprise five units and is likely to be marketed at around £10 per sq ft leasehold by joint agents Allsop Matcham and Alder King.
This is some 25% cheaper than what is being offered by the South West Regional Development Agency's Plymouth International Business Park, the former Seaton Barracks site which was officially launched six months ago and has still to land its first tenant or occupier.
Steve Matcham of Allsop Matcham said Neptune Park will offer more flexible terms including letting on a floor-by-floor basis.
Neptune Park forms part of a 12-acre site which includes another scheme - Plymouth Trade Park - where two companies are believed to be close to taking all of the scheme's 26,000 sq.ft.
Plymouth's Theatre Royal also has plans to build a 50,000 sq.ft rehearsal and education centre on part of the reclaimed land.
