Industrial site sold at £250m Stonehenge scheme
Estates Gazette – 3 September 2003
Amesbury Property has sold a 19-acre (7.7ha) industrial and distribution site at its £250m Solstice Park business and leisure scheme near Stonehenge to developer Abbey Manor.
Yeovil-based Abbey Manor paid £5m for the site at the 160-acre (65ha) Solstice Park, Wiltshire.
Work on site will start next spring with Abbey Park seeking leasehold and freehold occupiers for the six plots. It is believed that two of the six plots will be sold before the end of September.
The industrial zone is on the north-eastern section of Solstice Park, fronting the A303 trunk road.
Cliff Whitley, development manager at the Amesbury Property, said: "We are now seeking a similar partnership for the 11-acre (4.5ha) leisure zone, for which we also have detailed planning consent."
Amesbury Property is a consortium of local landowners and developers. Alder King and Middleton Major are joint agents.
