Planning approval launches Fusion Park regeneration
February 2009
Abbey Manor has secured planning approval for a new roundabout junction on West Hendford, Yeovil.
South Somerset District Council granted planning approval for the new access this month.
Fusion Park has laid largely vacant since Scottish & Southern moved out to new premises at Lufton in 2007.
The roundabout, sited at the rear of the now vacant Scottish & Southern Electricity depot on West Hendford, forms the first step in exciting plans to regenerate the vacant former electricity depot site.
The site has been renamed Fusion Park, to reflect its former use. Abbey Manor Capital Partners is expected to submit a planning application for a first phase of development before the end of 2009.
